This is a 3-hour workshop that allows you to create a playground of stamps to print patterns galore! Let your mind off the hook and get lost in some therapeutic mark making.

You will print an abundance of sample designs on calico. Then you will decorate your own linen Tea Towel to take home.

A glass of wine is on us, so grab a friend for some creative "you" time.

Draw, carve, ink, print. Create your own collection of beautiful printed designs on fabric which will include a linen tea towel to take home.

We will deep-dive into making pattern repeating designs, using simple but effective materials and will each make printing stamps including a carved a printing block to use.

A carefully curated collection of textile colours will be available for you to choose from and you will learn to think like a textile designer by taking inspiration from contemporary textile artisans.

All materials will be provided to use during the workshop. In the end, you will take home your printing blocks, several printed samples on cotton, and your’e completed printed linen tea towel.

Block printing on textiles is a beautiful way to slow down and take your mind off your busy lives. Come and get lost in a bit of mediative pattern therapy.

Carve out some creative time and take away something unique for your home.

In this 3 hour workshop, you will make a collection of textile stamps, and hand print these onto linen. which will be enough to make a couple of cushion covers. (45cm square)

Using simple and effective techniques, we will dive into pattern repetitions and draw on inspiration from a range of textile designers and artists.

A carefully curated palette of colours will be provided, and you will have squares of calico to practise on first.

Materials provided:

Practise pieces of Calico, 4 x 50 x 50cm linen pieces, block making and stencil materials, inks, art materials and aprons.

This one day class offers an inspiring and instructive approach to screen printing using some simple stencil techniques. Colours will be carefully mixed into unique combinations and we will learn about pattern repeats. Students will get the chance to experiment on some calico before printing their designs onto a pre-sewn 100% linen table runner. This could also be used as a beautiful piece of textile art, or as a wall hanging!
