This course will be a well -rounded and inspiring workshop for textile enthusiasts to create their own unique fabric designs. You will be guided through the simple processes of screen-printing, block printing and stencilling techniques onto cloth.

Over the 4 days:You will be encouraged to sketch and draw and we will talk about how drawing informs fabric printing and design.We will look at the patterns in the everyday, how pattern informs, surrounds and benefits us.I will give a presentation on some influential textiles designers and textile artists and encourage some personal conversations around textiles and memories. You will study a bit of colour theory, and will learn how to carefully colours using a colour wheel to create your unique colour pallets. You will create a mood -board to ground your design idea’s.You will design and develop a range of printed samples looking at composition, repetition and colour.
